FAQ's

What do you offer members throughout the year, after high holy days?
Neshamah holds Friday night services roughly once a month, as well as a havdallah program once a month. Services usually involve a pot luck dinner. We have holiday and festival programming such as a Chanukah party, Purim carnival, Sukkah decorating and apple harvest outing. In-home Friday night dinners, book club, adult education, Sunday school, and mid-week schooling are also on our list of offerings.

Is it an extra cost for a funeral, wedding, bar/bat mitzvah, bris or baby naming?
Neshamah members pay less than non-members for many of our lifecycle events. Members do not pay any extra fee for funerals when the member dies. There is no cost to members for unveilings; non-members are asked to donate at least $180 to Neshamah for this service. Our wedding fee is $500 for members, $1250 for non-members. Bar/bat mitzvah is available only to members and there is a fee associated with our religious school. For bris or baby naming, members are asked to make a donation to the congregation; non-members are charged $360. For more information please contact Rabbi Polansky.
